In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the government have instructed people to begin self-isolating in a bid to combat further spreading. Here are some top tips on how to keep yourself entertained:
- Facetime / video call your friends and family – a simple way to stay connected
- Create a daily routine to stick to whilst you study
- Try home work outs or yoga to stay active
- Read a new book
- Binge watch Netflix or your favourite shows
- Learn and master a new recipe
- Practice self-care (this can be anything from running yourself a relaxing bath and putting on a face mask to meditating)
- Feel productive – make a list of the things you need to get done and tick off as the day goes by
- Have a deep clean – cleaning can be a great way to relieve stress, help you feel productive and pass the time (also particularly useful during these times as an extra safety precaution – things can never be too clean!)
- If other people in your house are isolating, play games together such as monopoly
- However if not, play online games with family and friends
- Take regular social media breaks – during these times it can be easy to become glued to the timeline. Whilst we agree social media is a great way to stay connected, updated and entertained, making sure you’re aware of your usage can be a good idea
